“April showers bring May flowers” is a phrase strictly for people who think the deluge of precipitation that traditionally arrives during the fourth month of the year—a.k.a. April—is something to be depressed about. We know better.
For one thing, there are entire countries that literally want nothing more than to be drenched in the cooling embrace of a raucous thunderstorm. As long as it’s still dry enough to live on land, an abundance of water is never a bad thing.
If that argument didn’t do anything for your start-of-the-second-quarter blahs, perhaps this will work a bit better.
